Cubacub’s garments include bright spandex clothing designed for people with sensory disabilities, chronic illnesses, and other disabilities. Some of the garments include vibrant chainmaille “armor” creations.
Cubacub’s garments evoke the ways in which rituals of adornment offer a means to shift our own and others’ perceptions of our bodies. Cubacub’s construction process, the painstaking hand-fashioning of chainmail, offers a different take on ritual, the ways in which repetitive handiwork can serve as a ritual for coping with difference.
